Here’s a summary of the 2019 fall anime PSYCHO-PASS 3!

The new series airs every episode for one hour
PSYCHO-PASS is an original anime series that began broadcasting in the Noitamina slot.
The first season was broadcast from autumn 2012 to winter 2013, the second season was broadcast in autumn 2014, and the movie version was released in January 2015.
Furthermore, the film trilogy “PSYCHO-PASS Psycho-Pass Sinners of the System” will be released from January to March 2019 and has been well received.
The third season, which will start in October 2019, will be set in October 2120, three years after Case 3 of the Psychopath SS, “Beyond the Opposite”.

More than eight years have passed since the first season, seven and a half years since the end of the second season, and about four years since the movie version.
In the third season, it seems that Kogami Shinya, who was 28 years old at the time of the first season, is 36 years old, and Tsunemori Akane, who was 20 years old, is now 28 years old.
In the third season, a new protagonist has appeared, instead of the first season’s protagonist, Kakugami, who served as the protagonist in the second season and the film version of Zhu.
The new story is mainly about Shindo Arata, a surveillance officer in the Criminal Investigation Division 1 of the Public Security Bureau of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and KEI Mikhail Ignatov.
This work is directed by Naoyoshi Shiotani, who has directed all of the “Psychopath” anime films.
The series is composed by Tou Ubukata, who participated in the second season of the series.
In addition to Ubukata, the script will be written by Makoto Fukami, who worked on the first season, the film version, SS Case.2 and 3, and “Stage PSYCHO-PASS: PSYCHO-PASS: Virtue and Vice”, as well as SS Case.1 and Ryo Yoshigami, who has worked on a number of novelized works.
Gen Urofuchi, who drafted the story and wrote the scripts for the first season and the film version, did not participate in this project.
The character design is by Akira Amano, as in the past series.
Character design is by Naoyuki Onda, who has been the chief animation director since the first season and was one of the character designers for the film version, but is in charge of character design alone this time.
The animation is produced by Production I.G, which produced the first season and the film version, including the SS.
Like the first and second seasons, it will be broadcast in the Noitamina slot of the Fuji TV series, but this time it is an exceptionally one-hour anime, as it uses the full one-hour slot for all episodes.
The eight episodes will begin airing on October 25, 2019.
Only the first episode will be streamed ahead of time on Amazon Prime Video at midnight on October 24, one day earlier than on TV, and the second and subsequent episodes will be available one hour later than the TV broadcast.
New characters keep appearing
This third season, like the TV series up to the second season, the center of the story is the Criminal Investigation Section of the Public Safety Bureau.
Therefore, many of the new characters who appear in the series also belong to the first section.
The W protagonists, Arata and Kei, are both rookie surveillance officers.
Shake, a special A-class mentalist, is a bright and positive 24-year-old male with a special skill that allows him to become the target of his pursuit through advanced sympathy.
Kei, a second-generation Russian immigrant and naturalized quasi-Japanese, is a martial artist, an earnest 24-year-old man who grew up in a war zone and received military training.
The story follows these two men as they try to solve a difficult case and eventually come closer to the truth about the world.
Kazumichi Irie, the enforcement officer of the first section, is a frivolous 32-year-old man with an older brotherly nature.
Another officer,Mao Kisaragi, is a 26-year-old woman with a cool and cold personality.
Yet another new face of the Marshal, Tenma Todoroki, is a fighter-type 55-year-old man with a rugged personality.
To these new faces, the main characters of the third season seem to be Sho Hinakawa, who has become the oldest but still remains introverted; Shion Karanomori, who continues to serve as an analyst in the Public Safety Bureau’s Office of General Analysis; and Mika Shimotsuki, who has grown up and is now the Chief and Chief Surveillance Officer of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Public Safety Bureau.
In addition, new characters such as Shizuka Homura, Haruki Shirogane, Kyouko Saionji ,Karina Komiya, Round Robin,Koichi Azusazawa, and Chiyo Obata will also appear as new characters.
