The Monster-verse series began with 2014’s Godzilla, and the concluding film, Godzilla vs. King Kong, is scheduled to be released in 2020.
It’s a showdown between two of America’s most iconic monsters in Japan and America, but some fans have said that King Kong has no chance of winning. Why is it said that King Kong can’t win?
While summarizing the reasons why King Kong is said to be unable to beat Godzilla, I thought about the competition in the Hollywood version of the game.
The Hollywood version of Godzilla, which has fought a number of powerful enemies

In 2014’s Godzilla Godzilla and 2019’s Godzilla King of Monsters, Godzilla has battled a number of powerful enemies, including
- MUTO
- Radon
- Mothra
- Ghidorah
Hollywood’s version of Godzilla, which boasts a strength beyond the norm. In the end, Godzilla is faced with King Kong.
In fact, this isn’t the first time Godzilla and King Kong have faced off against each other; the two monsters have fought fiercely before in the domestic version.
In King Kong vs. Godzilla, there were no winners or losers

The first time the two monsters faced off was in 1962 with the release of King Kong vs. Since the two giant monsters representing Japan and the United States faced off against each other, there was much anticipation from fans.
The high expectations of fans can be seen from the series’ record attendance of 11.2 million people.
The outcome of the game was a draw. Although a fierce battle unfolds, the story comes to an end with no conclusion at the end. It is undeniably a bewildering ending.
The reason for the draw was to preserve the mentality of both countries

The reason why the match ended in a draw was to keep Japan and the U.S. mentality intact. Godzilla representing Japan and King Kong representing the United States.
Even in the world of fiction, if the two countries were to play a winner in a matchup between the two monsters representing their countries, it could hurt the friendships between the two countries. As a result of fears about this possibility, a form of draw was introduced that both countries could agree on.
Is King Kong at a huge disadvantage in the Hollywood version?

King Kong vs. Godzilla was made over 50 years ago. The content of the discovery to the country is not a serious match, and it remains to be seen who is stronger in the end.
So what if Godzilla and King Kong had a serious fight? King Kong is at a huge disadvantage. The number one reason for this is the height difference between the two major monsters.
You can’t compete with a height difference of about four times your height

Godzilla’s height in 2019’s Godzilla: King of Monsters is 119.8 meters tall, versus 31.6 meters for King Kong in 2017’s King Kong: God of the Skull Island. That’s about four times the height difference between the two.
All of the powerful enemies that have faced off against the Hollywood version of Godzilla have been as big or bigger than Godzilla. Still, what can you do to King Kong, who is about a quarter of the size, if you can’t beat him? If they don’t make up the height difference, they have no chance.
Incidentally, in King Kong vs. Godzilla, Godzilla was 50 meters tall and King Kong was 45 meters tall, and they made King Kong taller so that he could go toe-to-toe with Godzilla at 50 meters.
It’s possible that in the Hollywood version of the movie, King Kong will be tall enough to compete with Godzilla, so we might see a 100-meter King Kong appear in order to go toe-to-toe with the 119.8-meter tall Godzilla.
King Kong has no weapons

The foremost reason for the overwhelming disadvantage was a height difference of about four times, but that wasn’t the only reason. King Kong has no weapons.
Godzilla’s weapon of choice is a radiant heat ray that burns everything down. Without weapons, King Kong has no countermeasures against radiant heat rays.
