In the Persona series from 3 onwards, the protagonist has a trait called “Wild”, which allows you to have multiple personas and switch between them at will.

There is no difference between the two in terms of usability in the game.
Their positions in the story and community (co-op) aren’t all that different either.
However, in 5, with the exception of Futaba, who plays the role of Navi, all of the party members are either classmates or upperclassmen, whereas in 4, there are three junior characters, making the Bancho feel more “dependent” on them.
The Joker also has leadership, but it’s the guard chief who feels it more.

All of the Persona series has been animated since 3, and 4 and 5 have been broadcasted as TV anime.
The 4 anime was aired in two cool seasons between 2011 and 2012 and was a huge hit, averaging over 30,000 disc sales.
It was even animated with additional elements of the complete Persona 4 The Golden.
On the other hand, 5 was also aired in 2018 in two cool seasons and scored a certain amount of hits, but it didn’t come close to 4.
Also, I got the impression that the Bancho was drawn more in terms of its activities within the anime.
The design of Izanagi, the initial persona of the Bancho, was designed based on the concept of a cheerleader leader, and his appearance is the very definition of a school run-wearing Bancho.
