32th place:Goblin Slayer

This is a dark fantasy by Kumo Kagyu, published by GA Bunko since 2016.
It is illustrated by Noboru Kannazuki-sensei.
It depicts the exploits of the Goblin Slayer, who hunts goblins, which are the weakest monsters but are vicious when they form a clique and torture many adventurers to death.

As of October 2019, there are 11 volumes of the book plus 3 foreign stories in print.
The series has been very prolific in comic book adaptations, with the main story, the supplementary biography and the short stories all being adapted into manga, all of which have been hits, and the series has reached a total circulation of 5 million copies.
The TV anime that aired in 2018 was also a hot topic.

31th place:My sister can’t be this cute

A love comedy by Tsukasa Fushimi-sensei, published by Dengeki Bunko since 2008.
The illustrations are by Hiro Kanzaki.
It is a story about a secret otaku sister, Kousaka Kirino, and her brother, Kyosuke.

It was a huge hit due to the popularity of Kuro Neko, the heroine of the show.
It was made into a TV anime for two seasons between 2010 and 2013, and the original story has also reached its conclusion, but a new series of book versions of the if routes of the heroines other than Kirino (the story of the game version) is being published from 2019.
The series has published over 5 million copies in total.

30th place: Shonen Onmyouji

This is a light novel for women, published by Mitsuru Yuki from Kadokawa Beans Bunko since 2001.
It is a story about the growth and struggles of the main character, Masahiro Abe, whose grandfather is Seimei Abe, and his growth and struggles as an Onmyouji.
As of October 2019, volume 46 of this volume plus 10 other volumes of the book are on sale.

Illustrations were done by Asagi Sakura-sensei until 2015 (the Michishiki volume), and from 2016,  Nanatsu Ito-sensei was in charge of the illustrations.
The series has a total circulation of over 5.5 million copies.
In 2006-2007, the series was made into an anime for television in two cool seasons.

29th place:Re:Starting Life in Another World

A dark fantasy by Tappei Nagatsuki, published by MF Bunko J since 2009, from which he started to become a novelist.
The illustrations are by Shinichiro Otsuka.
It is an epic story about the frustrations and struggles of a young boy, Natsuki Subaru, who is summoned to another world and in doing so gains the looping ability to “return to death”.

As of October 2019, it is currently in publication in volume 21.
It has been well-received due in part to the immense popularity of one of the heroines, Rem, and the series has sold over 5.5 million copies in total.
It was made into a TV anime in 2016, which was well received and a second season is in the works.

28th place:Durarara!!

A suspense novel by Ryogo Narita, published by Dengeki Bunko since 2004.
It is illustrated by Yasudasu Suzuhito.
It is a street ensemble drama of boys and girls that takes place in Ikebukuro, Tokyo.

It was made into an anime in 2010 with two cool seasons, and between 2015 and 2016, two seasons were aired in three installments.
It has gained popularity among both men and women, and the series has sold more than 5.6 million copies in total, including all 13 volumes of the full-length novel.

27th place:Axel World

Reki Kawahara-sensei has been publishing this light novel from Dengeki Bunko, which is based on a VR fighting game, since 2009.
The illustrations are by HIMA-sensei.
The story is set in the near future, where life is now lived on a virtual network, and follows the exploits of the small, fat protagonist Haruyuki.

As of October 2019, the book has 24 volumes in print.
The novel alone has sold 4.8 million copies, and the series’ total circulation, including the comic version and other related books, has exceeded 5.7 million copies.
It was made into an animated television series in 2012 and a movie in 2016.

26th place:Seitokai no Ichizon

This school comedy has been published by Aoi Sekina-sensei from Fujimi Fantasia library since 2008.
The illustrations are by Mr. Kira Inugami.
The work comically depicts the daily life of the student council members of a private high school, Hokuyo Gakuen, which has no editing at all.

The main volume (the Minutes series) ended with the 10th volume released in 2012, but the series continued little by little with special features and other things, and in 2018, the 10th anniversary of the series, the 9th volume, the latest volume of the extras (the Revelation series) was released.
The series has sold more than 6 million copies in total and has been a long-time favorite.
It was adapted into an animated television series in 2009 and 2013.

25th place:Date a live

It is a science fiction romantic comedy published by Koushi Tachibana since 2011 by Fujimi Fantasia Bunko.
The illustrations are by Tsunako-sensei.
It’s a long story about Shidou Gogo, who can absorb the spiritual power of spirits by kissing them, and saves the world by delaying the cute spirits.

As of October 2019, there are 21 volumes of the main story plus 9 short stories in publication.
The series has sold over 6 million copies worldwide.
Since 2013, the series has been made into an animated television series for three seasons, and a film version was produced in 2015.
