【Nanatsuya Shinobu’s jewel box】Is the reason it’s not being animated is because it’s too much of a mystery?

Popular manga are being made into anime one after another these days.
The total number of copies of “Nanatsuya Shinobu’s Jewel Box” has exceeded 1,000,000 copies and it is about time for it to be made into an anime, but unfortunately we have not heard any information about the anime adaptation of this work so far.
The first reason for this is the stock of the original work.
For a typical 30 minute TV anime episode, 70 pages of the original manga would be needed. (The page count is based on “One Pan Man” and “Drifters”)
For an anime that is 12 episodes per cool volume, the number of pages needed is 840.
However, the total of 9 volumes of this work is over 1,000 pages, so it seems that the stock is sufficient.
So why has there been no talk of an anime adaptation?
One of the reasons for this is.
There’s no storyline closure.
There’s little foreshadowing recovered and too much mystery.
When adapting a manga or novel into an anime, it is often the case that a cool period of time ends when the anime reaches a certain point where the story reaches a certain point.
Also, when the story reaches the top of the climax (for example, the main characters are in a desperate situation. This is often seen in foreign dramas) is the end of the storyline. This may be a case where “the production of the second season or the splitting of the show into one cool season has been decided”. However, in the case of Japanese TV anime, the decision on whether or not a second season will be produced depends on the sales of the DVDs that are released after the broadcast, so the pattern of the first season ending at the top of the climax is rare.
(There are some cases where the final episode was a “there’s probably a continuation”, but it was never seen again… (laughs)
As I mentioned in the story spoiler, as of volume 9 of “Shinobu Nanatsuya’s Jewel Box” book, the number of truths revealed and foreshadowing recovered about the reason for the Kitakami family’s separation and the artificial diamonds is still low.
However, Toratetsu appeared in volume 8, and by the end of volume 9, “Is it time for a climax? From the description that seems to be a hint that Toratoru’s mother, Haruko, was Tanaka, to the fact that she is related to an artificial diamond that is indistinguishable from a natural one, and so on, around volume 10, boom! And with the new revelations, it’s looking more and more likely that we’re going to reach a mountainous point at once.
With this in mind, I have a feeling we’re going to hear about an anime adaptation after the release of volume 10!
As a fan of The Jewel Box of Shinobu Nanatsuya, I’m hoping that my hunch is right!

In this article, I’ve spoiled the main part of the story (the investigation of the cause of the Kitakami family’s breakup, the existence of the artificial diamonds involved, etc.), but you can also enjoy some interesting incidents and Shinobu’s friendships that are not directly related to the main story.
