【Bloom Into You】Second season is in range! The completion of the original story will boost your spirits!

Media development that continues after the last episode

Another rationale for the increased momentum for the second season after the conclusion of the series is the fact that after the final episode, Moyagakun has a gorgeous project called the Curtain Call Project in the works.

The book concluded with Volume 8, released in November 2019, but after that, there will be a third volume of the spin-off novel “About Saeki Sayaka, which will eventually become Kimi,” which is being worked on by Iruma-sensei, the second volume of the official comic anthology in which Nakatani-sensei will also participate, and Nakatani-sensei’s art book and short story collection, which will be released in November 2019.
In the fall of 2020, the stage play “‘Soon to be You’ encore” will be screened, and Yagakun hasn’t stopped moving yet.

As for the stage, it will not only be a re-enactment, but it will be a reconstruction based on the last episode.
The first stage took place in May 2019, and it seems that the show was so successful that brochures and other performance merchandise sold out every day, and an encore screening has been decided.

And, in fact, this stage is also a good sign for the second season.

As a result of crowdfunding for the inclusion of the special footage of the aquarium date in the final episode of the anime in the Blu-ray/DVD that contains the scenes from the stage, the amount of money raised is 8.5 million yen against the target amount of 2 million yen.
As a result, the amount raised was 8.5 million yen against the goal of 2 million yen. 1197 people supported the project.
The fact that there are so many loyal fans who are willing to give money in a different field, not just anime, but also the stage, will be a huge boost to the planning of the second season.

If they do decide to produce a second season, it’s a definite guarantee that it will be filmed until the conclusion of the main story.
Since the first season ended at the beginning of the original volume 5, with the aquarium date scene, the range of volumes 5-8 will be animated in the second season.
This is the same number of volumes that were digested in the first season, so it is possible to visualize to the end without difficulty.

There were more than a few people who said “I wish they had done the play as well” regarding the first season, but it seems that the director, screenwriter Hanada Juki, and the rest of the staff agreed on “until the aquarium”.
It seems that the main reason for this was that “if we go to the end of the play, the audience will be bewildered”, but there may have been a decision that it was better not to push forward with it because of the possibility of a second season.
This is another reason why we can expect a second season to be a good possibility.

Taking all of these things into account, there is a 50% chance of a second season of “Soon to be You”.
Even if it doesn’t take the form of a second season, it looks like there is a plan to create a new anime in some form, such as aiming to conclude it with an OVA series.

Summary

There aren’t many works that deal with yuri as seriously as “Bloom Into You”, yet delicately depict the emotions of each character.
In order to attract more attention to the new work that Greise-sensei Nakatani will be working on in the future, I hope that he will film Yagakun to its conclusion and leave it as a milestone in the history of yuri works.
Let’s hope the publisher makes a wise decision!
