Is Kawasaki-san in the original story a flagging machine?

In addition to the awareness of Kawasaki-san in the anime, the changes in her personality and the way she grew closer to Komachi and the service club seemed to be quite abrupt.
This is also the result of cutting out a lot of episodes about Kawasaki-san from the original work.
For example, after the long episode when she first appears, the story of Kawasaki-san and Yawata meeting at the summer school is depicted in the original story.
Here, Kawasaki-san thanks Yawata and openly expresses his feelings about Yukino, saying that although he is grateful to her, he can’t get along with her.
In other words, Kawasaki-san is a person who has a clear affinity for each other, and depending on the person, he is the type of person who expresses his dislike for some people.
That’s probably why he couldn’t be his usual irreverent self to the aggressively aggressive Ebina, and he was clearly upset.
Later in this episode, there’s a key scene where she was embarrassed to the hilt while losing her temper when Komachi chilled out about her relationship with Yawata.
You could say that this is the first flag in the episode.
However, it was cut out entirely in the anime.
During the school festival in volume 6, there is a scene where Yawata asks Kawasaki-san how to get into the roof when he is looking for Sagami, who has escaped.
When Kawasaki-san replies in bewilderment, Yawata says, “Thank you! I love you, Kawasaki! But it seems that Kawasaki-san, who doesn’t take jokes very well, took it to heart and became overly conscious of Yawata after that.
Of course, this is all cut from the anime.
Also, in volume 6.5, there is a scene where Yawata asks Kawasaki-san to make her an outfit for the gymnastics festival, and in this scene, Kawasaki-san’s muddled reaction to Yawata is depicted as she is extremely aware of him.
If we cover these scenes, we can see that Kawasaki-san’s changes and reactions in the anime are not abrupt, but rather a natural progression of his concern for Yawata.
Yahata’s kind response to Kyoka seems to have made him even more aware of this.
It’s hard to tell in the anime, but from reading the original, I can assure you that Kawasaki-san definitely has a thing for Yawata.
The game version has a Kawasaki route!

“My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong” As I Expected has been adapted into two consumer games in the past.
Kawasaki-san has been featured in both of them, and since both of them have the Kawasaki route, they are a must-play game for fans of Kawasaki-san.
The first game, “After all, my youth romantic comedy is wrong, even in games. isn’t a great game as a whole, but the Kawasaki route is a popular one.
The biggest appeal of the game is that you can enjoy the otome Kawasaki-san, who is rarely seen in the anime, whether she’s wearing a swimsuit or turning bright red and embarrassed.
The second work, “As expected, my youth romantic comedy is wrong in the game as well,” which is more popular than the first. Kawasaki’s route is also well received in “The Sequel”.
The younger sister, Kyoka, also has a lot of roles in this one and the story is heartwarming from start to finish.
The ending of the story is a must-see, and there is a development where Kawasaki’s faint feelings are rewarded, which was never rewarded in the original story.
She is not the heroine of the game, so there aren’t a lot of CG or EDs, but she is so cute in both games that fans have said that she is the favorite of the game staff.
Both games were released for the PlayStation Vita, but in 2017, both games were combined for the PlayStation 4, “After all, even in games, my adolescent romantic comedy is wrong. & Continuation: A Bundle Set” has already been released, so if you have a PS4, you’ll be better off choosing this one.
Summary
I know the first and second seasons of the anime were a bit too short due to the length of the show, but I feel like the cuteness of Kawasaki-san wasn’t really shown in the show.
I really hope that the third season of the anime will show her true charm, both in terms of Kyoka and the rest of her character!
