It’s no exaggeration to say that the production of the second season of Clear Card Arc is a definite matter, but the only bottleneck is the stock.
The reason why the first season was separated at the time of the second season is because they used up all the stock.
By the way, the flow of the first season aired was as follows.
June 2016 – Clear Card Arc serialization began.
December 2016 Anime adaptation announced
December 2016, Volume 1 released.
April 2017 Volume 2 released
September 2017 Volume 3 released
January 2018 – Anime begins airing on BS Premium
March 2018 Volume 4 on sale
April 2018 – Anime airing on ETV

The final episode, episode 22, is based on the most recent story that was published in the July 2018 issue of Nakayoshi (released in June) at the time.
In other words, at the end of the first season’s broadcast, the stock was at a veritable zero.
Probably when they started the Clear Card Arc series, they decided on the entire schedule in advance, including the broadcast of the anime.
So there is a possibility that the second season will be the same way, with a thorough schedule management, and the final episode will be the latest episode of the original work.
Currently, the Clear Card Arc has already been released up to volume 7, with the latest volume, volume 8, scheduled to be released in April 2020.
Clear Card Arc comics are being released every six months, so I’m guessing that volume 10 will be released around April 2021.
With that assumption in mind, let’s take a look at the projected announcement and broadcast schedule for the second season
April 2020, volume 8 will be released.
August 2020: 2nd season of the anime starts broadcasting on BS Premium
September 2020 Volume 9 on sale
The second season of the anime will begin in October 2020 on E-TV.

March 2021 End of E-TV broadcast
April 2021, Volume 10 on sale (two anime seasons so far)
Assuming volume 10 is released in April 2021, we can expect the stock for the second season (two cool seasons) to be saved up around January 2021.
Therefore, if the pattern is the same as the first season, the final episode will be in January 2021, and if we work backwards from there, the schedule will be to start broadcasting around August 2020.
However, this is a case where the show will be aired in advance on BS Premium, just like the first season.
If the show is to be broadcast only on E-telephone, things will be a little different.
This is because with E-tele, like commercial broadcasters, new anime rarely starts in August.
In that case, it will be broadcast from October 2020 to March 2021.
At the moment, the two anime scheduled to air on Etele in 2020 are MAJOR 2nd season, which starts in April in the Saturday 5:35pm slot, and Log Horizon 3rd season, which starts in October.
If CC Sakura starts in October, it will coincide with Log Horror, but that’s not a problem as there are two broadcast slots, one on Saturdays at 5:35pm and the other on Wednesdays at 7:25pm.
MAJOR 2nd” is also expected to be broadcasted until September, so there will not be any overlap.
Incidentally, NHK General’s anime is basically in the late night slot, so it is unlikely that CC Sakura will be shown in that slot.
What are the chances of a movie version?

During the last anime adaptation, not only was the TV anime released, but also two theatrical versions of the series.
The first film version was released in between the Crow Card Arc and Sakura Card Arc, and the second one was released after the Sakura Card Arc.
Both were original stories that followed the timeline of the TV anime.
Therefore, a film version may be produced and released again this time around.
Madhouse, the company that produces CC Sakura, has been active in the production of movie versions and has received high praise for various works such as Summer Wars.
In recent years, they have also produced “Wakaokami wa Shogakko! The movie version of
That Madhouse, no plans have been announced for 2020 other than Diamond A act II and Chihayafuru 3, which have been airing continuously since last year.
This is another reason to say that a second TV season and a movie version of CC Sakura may be in the pipeline.
Summary
I think the second season is dense unless there’s something else going on, or I’d even say it’s confirmed, but I’m hoping for more than that, including a theatrical version.
Hopefully they’ll make a big announcement here, since the compact BD will be out on April 1, 2020, when volume 8 is released!
